We began organizing by seperating the business, household and kids things; removed the kids items and put away the rest in seperate drawers. Completed projects were moved out to long term storage.
This office was full of outdated computer equipment, old cables, mannuals, CD's and more. There were also art projects intermingled with work related items. We purged everything that was out of date, e-cycled them properly and set up a clean work space that is more pure to computer related tasks. The art area is set on the opposite side of the room. This is a much more organzied space where she can be more productive and creative.
This is a beautiful walk in closet that was filled with empty dry cleaner hangers, old clothes that were no longer in fashion or being worn, miss-matched shoes, and more.
Together, the Professional Organizer and the client did a quick purge of out of date clothes, removed all the empty hangers, folded and hung the rest of the clothes on consistant hangers.
The cartons were filled with many years of photos and other memorabilia. The most important pieces were kept, many cartons were moved to the basement for long term storage and the rest were put away. The few remaining cartons are for the spouse to review!
This space is on the 21st floor of a highrise building. There were too many things distracting potential buyers from the incredible view. We put about 75% of the belongings in to storage, painted the walls, re-finished the floors and re-set the furniture.
